Watch the guys in the background at about 45 seconds:
Most of my days are long and boring. Traffic, code, meetings, and email drown out most of my joy and enthusiasm. I wish I could find more happiness in simple things, but the older I get, the more those simple things end up getting lost in the shuffle. Being happy has become an effort, but I’m lazy. Just enduring the day is often the path of least resistance.
Sometimes, however, I see, hear, or read something that stirs the child inside of me. I feel awake.
I know it’s stupid, but this clip awakened me. It’s filled with joy and wild exuberance. All the people in the clip are happy. There is no holding back. They dance, hug, cheer, and dance.
I hope this brings a smile to your face.
Before SNL, Amy Pohler was on the too short lived Upright Citizens Brigade on Comedy Central. Here are some of my favorite clips. If you like these, be sure to buy the DVDs!

He’s known as ‘The Ice Man.”
Submerged In IceScientists can’t really explain it, but the 48-year-old Dutchman is able to withstand, and even thrive, in temperatures that could be fatal to the average person.
…
In January of 1999 he traveled 100 miles north of the Arctic Circle to run a half-marathon in his bare feet. Three years later, dressed only in a swimsuit, he dove under the ice at the North Pole and earned a Guinness World Record for the longest amount of time swimming under the ice: 80 meters, almost twice the length of an Olympic-sized pool.

And here’s a video of the Ice Man in action:
Three glasses of water before bed
Dawn breaks
Internal pressure is unbearable and exciting
Procrastination overtakes me
Cannot roll over
The seal will soon be broken
